80% of athletes who are new to crossing moves prefer the 2.5 freestyle rope! In 2011 Founder Molly Metz of JumpNrope developed a new type of freestyle jump rope handle. Traditional handles are made of hard plastic and tend to shatter or snap. Molly created a longer and flexier material so the handle will never snap, perfect for all your favorite crossing moves! Bonus: If you love to do gymnastics with your rope, you won’t suffer from bruised palms anymore! Don’t throw your handles away – these handles will give you a lifetime of crazy crosses, side swings, turning and flipping fun! The rope also comes with our special 2.5 cable- the perfect blend of flexibility without stretchiness because the material is covering a thin steel wire allowing the rope to keep a nice zip to it. We recommend the 2.5 cord to any athlete just starting their crossing journey, but really to any athlete! The 2.5 cord is denser and easier to feel vs its sister 1.5 cord, which is preferred by over 80% of athletes adding crossing skills to their regimen. The rope comes with bushings that are placed in the handles, which allow the rope to turn freely and not wind up. The rope can be sized by tying a knot into the cord without damaging the line. Knots are cool.
Tapered lightweight handles made with a shatterproof high-performance nylon resin.
Flexy material provides a “flex” – soft on the hands for pushups, frogs, and gymnastics-based jumping!
Perfectly balanced thickly coated stainless steel wire sourced exclusively to provide perfect feedback and accepts knots: an important on-the-fly rope adjustment necessity!
2.5 cord is recommended if you are starting to learn crossing skills *1.5 cord is recommended for high level jumpers.
All materials sourced in the USA and manufactured in the USA.
Warrantied handles only.
