✨ Our Take

Why We Recommend It

Tired of rowing machines that take up half your living room and still leave your upper body underworked? The Stamina BodyTrac Glider 1060 is built for home gym owners who want a serious cardio and strength workout without dedicating a room to it. Its full-motion arms and adjustable hydraulic resistance target both upper and lower body simultaneously, while the folding frame stores vertically in under 2 square feet. The trade-off: hydraulic resistance doesn't match the smoothness of air or magnetic rowers, so experienced rowers may find the pull less natural.

🌟 Features

What Makes It Stand Out

💖

Arms and legs work together

During your morning row, every pull works your biceps, shoulders, and back while your legs drive — no more feeling like you only did cardio.

💖

Stows in seconds

When your workout ends, unlatch the frame and fold it upright against a wall — it takes less time than rolling up a yoga mat.

💖

Quiet enough for late nights

Because the resistance is hydraulic, not fan-based, there's no whooshing noise — you can row while others sleep.

💭 Verdict

Pros & Cons

✓ What We Love

  • Full-motion arms engage upper body — rare in compact rowers under $200
  • Folds vertically with no tools — stores in 20" width
  • Quiet hydraulic resistance won't disturb others
  • Built-in tablet holder and large monitor track time, distance, and calories

○ Worth Knowing

  • Hydraulic resistance feels less smooth than air or magnetic rowers
  • Seat can slide forward during aggressive pulls
  • Rail length may be short for users over 6'2"
💫 Honest Advice

Who Might Want to Skip

💭
You want a smooth, racing-style rowing experience similar to a gym ergometer.
Better option: Consider an air rower like the Concept2 Model D, though it costs 3x more and takes up more space.
💭
You need a rower that supports users over 250 lbs.
Better option: Look for a rower with a higher weight capacity, such as the Sunny Health & Fitness SF-RW5515 (350 lbs).

💡 Quick Guide

Is This Right for You?

First-time buyer in this category
→
If you've never used a hydraulic rower, read the objection handling section above — then consider buying from a retailer with a 30-day return policy to test the feel.
Power user or experienced buyer
→
Check the rail length (43 inches) against your inseam — if you're over 6'2", this rower may feel short. Also verify the weight limit (250 lbs) accommodates you with gear.
Budget-focused buyer
→
At $179, this is one of the cheapest rowers with full-motion arms. The value is high if you accept hydraulic resistance. If you can stretch to $250, a magnetic rower like the SF-RW5515 offers smoother resistance.
Buyer who has returned a similar product before
→
If you returned a previous hydraulic rower because of jerky resistance, this model won't feel dramatically different. Look for a magnetic or air rower instead.
