Program Tracker

The Program Tracker is your central database of every affiliate program you've joined. Add a program once and it becomes available in the Content Calendar and Commission Calculator.

Adding a Program

  1. Click Add Program in the top-right.
  2. Fill in: name, network (ShareASale, Amazon, Impact, etc.), commission type, and rate.
  3. Add cookie duration, category, and payment threshold.
  4. Hit Save.

Commission Types

  • Percentage — A % of the sale value (most common)
  • Fixed — A set dollar amount per conversion
  • CPA — Cost per action (lead, signup, download)
  • Hybrid — Combination of percentage + fixed bonus

Bulk Import via CSV

Click Import CSV, download the column template, fill it in, and re-upload. The name column is the only required field.

Keyword Research Tool

The Keyword Research tool is your most powerful asset in the kit. It combines a live Keyword Discovery Engine, a smart heuristic scoring system, and a full spreadsheet — all in one self-contained file.

API Requirements at a Glance

Feature Requires API Key? Cost
Google Autocomplete suggestions FREE No key needed
Datamuse related-phrase engine FREE No key needed
Heuristic difficulty & intent scoring FREE No key needed
Claude AI — advanced analysis OPTIONAL Free tier at console.anthropic.com
Real search volume data OPTIONAL DataForSEO free sandbox: 10K credits/mo

Keyword Discovery Engine — Step by Step

  1. Open the tool. At the top, expand the Discover Keywords panel.
  2. Type a seed keyword (e.g., affiliate marketing for beginners).
  3. Check the modifier combos you want — best, how to, vs, free, 2026, etc. — to broaden the sweep.
  4. Click Discover. The engine fires queries to Google Autocomplete + Datamuse in parallel and merges the results.
  5. Results appear in a preview grid. Each one already has estimated difficulty, intent, and priority filled in.
  6. Check the keywords you want, then click Add Selected to Spreadsheet.
Pro tip: Run the same seed 2–3 times with different modifier sets. Google returns different suggestions for best affiliate marketing for beginners vs affiliate marketing for beginners 2026 — you'll surface long-tail gems that a single pass misses.

How Difficulty & Intent are Scored

Since real-time difficulty data requires paid APIs (Ahrefs, SEMrush), the tool uses a heuristic engine that scores keywords based on linguistic signals:

  • Phrase length — 4+ words biases toward Easy (long-tail = less competition)
  • Brand presence — known brand names (Amazon, Shopify, etc.) score harder
  • Year modifiers — "2025", "2026" score easier (fresh content, less saturation)
  • Question words — "how to", "what is", "why" trend Informational intent + Easy
  • Commercial words — "best", "top", "review", "vs" → Medium difficulty, Commercial intent
  • Transactional words — "buy", "cheap", "discount", "deal" → Transactional intent

You can override any score at any time — click Edit (pencil icon) on a row to open the full edit modal.

Setting Up Claude AI (Optional)

Claude AI enriches each keyword with intent classification and content angle suggestions. It works entirely in your browser — your API key is stored locally and never sent anywhere except Anthropic's servers.

  1. Go to console.anthropic.com and sign up for a free account.
  2. Navigate to API Keys in the left sidebar and click Create Key. Copy the key — you won't see it again.
  3. In the Keyword Research tool, click the ⚙ Settings tab (top of the page).
  4. Paste your key into the Claude API Key field and click Save Settings.
  5. Click Test Claude Key to confirm it's working — you'll see a green success toast.
  6. Discovery results will now include AI-enhanced intent labels and content angle ideas for every keyword.
Free tier is enough: Anthropic's free tier handles hundreds of keyword analyses per month. You only get charged for heavy usage beyond the free quota.

Setting Up Real Search Volume — DataForSEO + Cloudflare Worker

Real monthly search volume data comes from DataForSEO. Because this kit runs as a local HTML file (file://), browsers block direct API calls for security reasons. The fix is a tiny Cloudflare Worker you deploy once for free — it acts as a relay between your browser and DataForSEO. The worker file (dataforseo-proxy-worker.js) is included in this kit's ZIP folder.

Free & fast: Cloudflare Workers free tier gives you 100,000 requests/day — far more than you'll ever use for keyword research. No credit card required.

Step 1 — Create a free DataForSEO account

  1. Go to dataforseo.com/signup and create a free account.
  2. The free sandbox gives you 10,000 API credits/month — enough for extensive keyword research.
  3. Note your login email and password — you'll paste these into the tool's Settings tab.

Step 2 — Deploy the Cloudflare Worker (2 minutes)

  1. Go to dash.cloudflare.com and sign up for a free account (or log in).
  2. In the left sidebar click Workers & Pages → then Create.
  3. Choose Start with Hello World! — give it any name like dfs-proxy — then click Deploy.
  4. Click Edit code on the next screen.
  5. Open the file dataforseo-proxy-worker.js from this kit's ZIP folder in any text editor. Select all → Copy.
  6. Back in the Cloudflare editor: Select all the existing code → Delete → Paste your copied worker code.
  7. Click Deploy (top right). You'll see a success banner.
  8. Copy your Worker URL — it looks like:
    https://dfs-proxy.yourname.workers.dev
Important: The worker only allows requests to DataForSEO — it cannot be misused to proxy anything else. Your DataForSEO credentials are sent securely via an Authorization header and never stored on Cloudflare.

Step 3 — Connect everything in the Keyword Research tool

  1. Open keyword-research-spreadsheet.html and click the ⚙ Settings tab.
  2. Enter your DataForSEO Login (email) and DataForSEO Password.
  3. In the CORS Proxy Worker URL field, paste your Cloudflare Worker URL followed by /?url=:
    https://dfs-proxy.yourname.workers.dev/?url=
  4. Check Use DataForSEO Sandbox if you want to test with free credits (recommended to start).
  5. Click Save Settings.
  6. Click Test DataForSEO — you should see a green success message confirming the connection works.
  7. You're live! Discovered keywords will now show real monthly search volumes.
Sandbox vs Production: Sandbox mode is free and uses test data — great for checking the setup works. When ready for real search volumes, uncheck the sandbox toggle and your live DataForSEO credits will be used.

Bulk Import from a Text List

Click Bulk Import in the action bar, paste any list of keywords (one per line), and click Analyze. Every keyword gets auto-scored and added to your spreadsheet instantly.

Quick Research Links

Every row has a Research dropdown that opens the keyword in: Google SERP, Google Keyword Planner, Ubersuggest, Google Trends, and SEMrush — one click each.

Export

Click Export CSV to download your full keyword list including all columns: keyword, volume, difficulty, intent, priority, tags, and notes. Import it into Google Sheets, Ahrefs, or your CMS at any time.

Content Calendar

The Content Calendar helps you plan, schedule, and track all your affiliate content in one visual board so nothing slips through.

Adding Content

  1. Click Add Content.
  2. Fill in the title, content type (blog post, video, email, social), publish date, and target keyword.
  3. Associate it with an affiliate program from your tracker (optional but recommended).
  4. Set the status: Idea → Draft → In Review → Published.

Tips

  • Aim for 3–4 pieces of content per week when you're starting out.
  • Use your Keyword Research results as the target keyword for each content item.
  • Filter by "In Review" once a week to catch pieces that are ready to publish.
  • Color-code by content type to spot gaps in your mix at a glance.

AI Prompts (70)

The AI Prompts library has 70 copy-ready prompts organized by category: content creation, SEO, email marketing, social media, research, and compliance.

How to Use

  1. Browse by category or use the search bar to find a specific prompt type.
  2. Click any prompt to expand it. The [brackets] show exactly what to fill in.
  3. Click Copy to copy it to your clipboard.
  4. Paste into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini and replace the bracketed placeholders with your niche and product details.
Start with the Content Brief Generator prompt to build a full content brief from a keyword — then use the Affiliate Review Writer to draft the article itself. Two prompts, one complete piece.

Email Sequences

The Email Sequences tool provides pre-built, ready-to-customize sequences for the most common affiliate scenarios: welcome series, product review campaigns, abandoned-click follow-ups, and seasonal promos.

Using a Sequence

  1. Browse and click a sequence to open it.
  2. Each email shows: subject line, send timing (Day 1, Day 3, etc.), and full body copy.
  3. Click Copy Email to copy the full content.
  4. Paste into your ESP — Mailchimp, ConvertKit, ActiveCampaign, etc.
  5. Replace every [bracket] with your product, niche, and personal details before going live.

Calculators

Commission Potential Calculator

The Commission Calculator projects your monthly and annual earnings based on five inputs:

  • Monthly visitors to your site or channel
  • Click-through rate (CTR) on your affiliate links
  • Conversion rate of clicks into purchases
  • Average order value (AOV) of the products you promote
  • Commission rate from your program

Work backwards from a goal: if you want $3,000/month and you know your conversion rate and AOV, the calculator tells you exactly how much traffic you need to generate it.

Revenue Diversification Calculator

The Revenue Calculator helps you balance multiple income streams so you're not dangerously dependent on a single program. Enter earnings from each stream; it outputs a Diversification Score and a risk level assessment.

Income Streams Planner

The Income Streams tool maps the five core income streams in affiliate marketing (content, email, courses, SaaS, physical products) and helps you prioritize which to build next based on your current stage.

Compliance Checker

The Compliance Checker audits your affiliate marketing practices against FTC guidelines, GDPR basics, and network-specific rules.

What It Checks

  • Disclosure statement presence and placement (above the fold vs. buried)
  • Cookie consent requirements for EU/UK visitors
  • Amazon Associates-specific rules: price disclosure, prohibited phrases, image usage
  • Email marketing compliance — CAN-SPAM + GDPR basics
  • Social media disclosure requirements (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok)
The Compliance Checker provides general guidance only — it is not legal advice. For jurisdiction-specific legal questions, consult a qualified attorney.

Legal Document Templates

Your kit includes three pre-written templates — open each file, find every [YOUR NAME] / [YOUR WEBSITE] placeholder, and replace it with your real information before publishing:

  • Privacy Policy — data collection, cookies, and third-party services
  • Terms of Service — usage terms and affiliate relationship disclosures
  • Disclaimer — earnings disclaimer and affiliate link disclosure

Data & Storage

How Data is Stored

Every tool stores its data in your browser's localStorage. This means:

  • Data is completely private — it never leaves your device
  • Data persists between sessions on the same browser and computer
  • Data is browser and device specific — Chrome on your laptop and Chrome on your phone are separate stores
  • Clearing browser data or site data will erase everything
Back up regularly. Use the CSV export button in each tool at least once a week. Save the files to Google Drive, Dropbox, or a local folder you back up.

Exporting Data

  1. Open any tool (Program Tracker, Keyword Research, etc.).
  2. Click the Export CSV button in the action bar.
  3. A .csv file downloads to your computer automatically.
  4. Open it in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet app to review or archive.

Importing Data

  1. Click Import CSV in the tool.
  2. Download the column template to see the exact format required.
  3. Fill in your data following the template structure.
  4. Upload the file. A preview shows your data before it's committed.

Syncing Across Devices

There's no cloud sync in the Starter Kit. The manual workflow is straightforward: export CSV on Device A → import CSV on Device B. This is the same pattern used by most local-first tools and keeps your data completely under your control.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it as a CSV. No third-party servers, no accounts, no tracking.
Does the keyword discovery tool require an API key?
No. The core discovery engine (Google Autocomplete + Datamuse phrase engine) works with zero setup — no key, no registration. For real search volume numbers, you can optionally add a free DataForSEO sandbox key in the Settings panel. For AI-enhanced analysis, you can optionally add a Claude API key. Both are completely optional; the heuristic scores are solid for planning without them.
What happens if I clear my browser data?
Clearing browser history or site data erases all tool data permanently. Export your CSV files regularly — that's your backup. You can use your browser's Developer Tools (Application → Local Storage) to see what's stored if you're unsure.
Can I use this kit on multiple devices?
Yes, but each device keeps its own independent copy. To sync, export a CSV from Device A and import it on Device B. It takes under a minute and keeps data exactly consistent.
The keyword discovery shows no results — what's wrong?
The discovery engine uses a CORS proxy to reach Google Autocomplete. If the primary proxy is temporarily down (rare), it automatically falls back to a second proxy, then to Datamuse only. If you're getting zero results: check your internet connection, try a shorter seed keyword, and try again after 60 seconds. Datamuse runs without a proxy, so you'll always get at least some related-phrase results.
How do I edit or delete an item?
Every table row has an Edit (pencil) and Delete (trash) icon. In the Keyword Research tool, clicking Edit opens a full modal form — not a browser prompt — so you can update all fields including tags, notes, and manual difficulty overrides at once.
What's the difference between Starter, Pro, and Agency tiers?
The Starter Kit (this version) has 13 tools covering the foundations: tracking, research, content, calculators, and compliance. Pro adds advanced tools — Link Intelligence Center, Commission Tracker, Performance Dashboard, Funnel Builder, and 10+ more. Agency adds white-label features, client management, and resell tools. Upgrade at affiliate.fit4fundz.com.
Do the legal document templates cover my country?
The templates are written for general international use and address the most common requirements: GDPR, FTC, and CAN-SPAM. They are solid starting points, but laws vary by jurisdiction — have a local attorney review them before publishing on your live site.
